Roma set to pounce for disgruntled Spurs defender Corluka

Vedran CorlukaRoma are showing interest in Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka.

The Croat revealed he was ready to leave the club in January following Kyle Walker’s success and is due for talks with manager Harry Redknapp.

The 25-yearold wants to play in Euro 2012 and Roma want him to replace the injured Nicolas Burdisso.

Lazio are also keen and Tottenham have been linked with their versatile French defender Modibo Diakite.

Redknapp wants to sign a centre back and striker in the January transfer window and has not yet given up on Bolton defender Gary Cahill.

Spurs defender Younes Kaboul is likely to reject the chance to go to Juventus.

He said: ‘I am very well and settled here.’

Chelsea defender Alex remains an option for the Italians though.
